January

Friday, January 15th
Cooking Classes
– Heritage Club members are invited to join us for an evening of fun and learning during our wonderful hands–on Tuscan inspired cooking classes. Come and meet Maria as our resident Chef/Instructor and share her passion for food and wine. She will teach you how to cook authentic Tuscan cuisine using techniques and recipes that will last a life time. Enjoy the fruits of your labor that evening dining on all you have prepared and paired with our delicious Doukénie wines.
$100.00 per person. 6:30 p.m. 10:00 p.m.

Saturday, January 23rd
Rt. 9 Barrel Tasting
– Each year in France, it is tradition for wineries to open their barrels and allow local people to taste and enjoy the wine. At Doukénie Winery we are continuing in this tradition with our Rt. 9 Barrel Tasting event. Join us and other local wineries for a day of barrel sampling with the winemaker.
$35.00 per person. Noon – 6:00 p.m.

Saturday, February 13th
Heart Healthy Dinner
– Wine is good for the heart! We invite you to join us for an elegant candle lit evening at Doukénie Winery. Enjoy a healthful and delicious five course catered dinner paired with our fantastic wines while hearing cardiologists speak on the benefits of wine added to our diets.
Heritage Club members: $85.00; non-club: $100.00. 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Friday, February 19th
Monogram Art Class
Join our resident artist Isabelle and create a beautiful Classical style Monogram by transferring designs, manipulating glaze, creating shadows and other useful and fun techniques using acrylic paints. All participants will be creating their monochromatic art piece on an 8” x 10” stretched Canvas, using the color of their choice.
$75.00 per person, all materials and 2 glasses of Doukénie wine. 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Friday, March 12th

Blending with Sebastien Marquet
– Learn the secrets of making an excellent blend with our winemaker Sebastien Marquet. Class is conducted in our barrel room where exact measurements of certain varietals can make all the difference. Guided and instructed by a master, help Doukénie Winery create our next reserve.
Heritage Club members: $35.00 per person. Call to reserve your spot!

Saturday, March 27th
Doctors and Nurses Day
– Is there a Doctor in the house? For all Doctors and Nurses with ID, we invite you to come to Doukénie Winery and enjoy a complementary free wine tasting. Stay and join us after for a glass or bottle of our delicious wine paired with decadent foods from our gourmet section.

April

Art & Music Month – Doukénie Winery is celebrating art! Talented local artists along with our very own resident artist Isabelle Truchon, will display their work each weekend the entire month of April. Gaze upon works displayed by these fine artists and also participate in hands-on workshops and view demonstrations. In conjunction we will feature acoustic guitarists to make your visit even more enjoyable while drinking our fine wine and relaxing among our lovely grounds.

Friday, April 9th
Illuminated Manuscript Class
– Join our resident artist Isabelle Truchon for; Calligraphy for poetry, in addition to gilding, and insular art techniques will be used in the creation of a unique artwork. Applying these centuries-old art forms to your art creation will make your work sublime. Illuminated Manuscripts will be created on 11” x 14” 100% cotton Paper.
$75.00 per person, all materials and 2 glasses of Doukénie wine. 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Friday, April 23rd
The Horse
– Preceding a series of practice sketches, with guidance from our resident artist Isabelle Truchon, participants will create an evocative charcoal drawing capturing the romance, strength and beauty of The Horse. Learn to create the image of the horse using shapes and lines that stir emotions and create depth and volume in your picture with simple charcoal applications and techniques. The Horse will be produced on 18” x 24” paper.
$75.00 per person, all materials and 2 glasses of Doukénie wine. 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Sunday, May 9th
Mother’s Day Event
– Happy Mother’s Day! Bring Mom and the family out to Doukénie winery and receive a free complementary herb of her choice to plant in her garden or use in her cooking. Stay for a while and enjoy decedent foods from our gourmet section paired with our delicious wines. And don’t forget to buy some delicious gourmet chocolates and a bottle of our Hope’s Legacy Raspberry wine as a gift for Mom to end a perfect day.

Saturday, May 15th
Taste of Greece
– OOpha! Celebrate Greece with the Bazaco family and Doukénie staff at one of our signature events of the year! A fun filled day of authentic Greek food, music, dance and family tradition. Enjoy outdoor wine tastings, vineyard tours, face painting and more! Join our Heritage Club and taste from the barrel and learn about our club benefits. Don’t miss this grand event!
$25.00 per person general admission, One free admission ticket for Heritage Club member, second Heritage Club member $20.00, children $10.00, Designated driver $10.00. Noon – 6:00 p.m.

Friday, June 11th
Romantic Still Life
– Paint from life the roses that are the subject of this still painting. Begin with a charcoal sketch and evolve with acrylic paints and stroke techniques to produce a stunning image filled with color and moodiness. Paintings will be created on 8” x 10 “ stretched canvas.
$75.00 per person, all materials and two glasses of Doukénie wine. 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Saturday, June 19th
Experience Burgundy with
Doukénie Winery – Sebastien Marquet, Winemaker at Doukénie , native to Burgundy will be accompanying you on this 7 day all inclusive excursion. Be prepared to visit Burgundy from a native’s perspective. See our flyer for more details.

Sunday, June 20th
Father’s Day BBQ & RC Planes
– Make this a special day for Dad by coming out to Doukénie Winery for a mouth watering BBQ complemented by our fine wines. Sit on the grounds with the family while watching RC Planes fly through the air and perform stunts.
Cost per plate of food, serving between Noon – 5:00 p.m.

Sunday, July 4th
BBQ
– Celebrate the 4th of July here at Doukénie Winery. Bring a blanket and your family to enjoy a delicious variety of BBQ meats and side dishes for everyone. Of course, plan to purchase a bottle or two to round out your meal!

Friday, July 30th
Byzantine Icon
– Isabelle Truchon, Doukénie wineries resident artist will offers a glimpse in the art of icon writing. Participants will create their precious icons on a 3” x 4” wood panel. Gilding and tempura paints will be used to manifest this masterpiece.
$75.00 per person, all materials and 2 glasses of Doukénie wine. 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Saturday, August 14th
Doukénie Cruise-In – Rev-up for this awesome display of new and old Corvettes! Vote on your favorite while sipping on a glass of our delicious wines. Why not sit by the pond and enjoy the beauty of the cars and scenery while noshing on our gourmet food items with family and friends.

Friday, August 20th

– Produce a beautiful landscape painting from a picture of your choice on 8” x 10” canvas. Participants will learn specific techniques used to depict skies, embellish trees, and perfect perspective.

Saturday, September 25th
Taste of Italy
– La Dolce Vita! One of our largest events of the year, Taste of Italy brings a day full of fun, laughter and entertainment offering delicious authentic Italian food, music, dance, grape stomping, vineyard tours, wine tasting outside, face painting for the kids and much more! View and participate in harvest with crush. Join our Heritage Club and taste wine from the barrel and learn about our club member benefits. Don’t miss this grand event!
$25.00 per person. $20.00 Heritage Club members. Children $10.00, Designated driver $10.00

– At this time of the year, all our grapes are in! Come celebrate with us for a Barrel Tasting event open to the general public.

Veteran’s Day Event
– With deepest respect and gratitude to our Veteran’s and active military with ID, Doukénie Winery would like to invite you to join us for a free wine tasting. Let us help you prepare a delicious platter of gourmet foods, such as fresh farm made cheese, salami, olives, nuts, hot bread, chocolates, and much more.

December

Donation Month – Doukénie Winery is dedicated in helping all those in need. We will contribute $1.00 for every bottle of wine sold along with all tasting fees and donate the funds to selected charities. Thank you for your continued patronage.
