Submitted by Maria Canora — Spring is in the air here at DC’s Wine Country’s Doukénie Winery. As we prepare the fields for new growth, with wine fermenting in the barrel room,Brandy Wedding pix 5 we’ve been communicating with many brides and grooms providing tips and information that may make their winery wedding new and exciting. With the Short Hill Mountains as a backdrop, a gorgeous duck pond, stunning gazebo, a relaxed, intimate setting and award-winning wine, it’s no surprise weddings in Loudoun County are becoming very popular.

I’m Maria Canora, our in house wedding specialist and the 2013 Loudoun County’s Management Tourism Award winner. I work with brides, grooms and their families every day to help prepare for their weddings. And I’d like to share some of these ideas with you. I’m available to all our brides and their families in advance and on the BIG day. I’ll be posting winery wedding ideas – fashion, decor, food and of course, wine pairings – right here on this blog. I work closely with many local vendors to create a unique winery wedding theme and I’m happy to share my tips with you. Watch this blog for tips and ideas.

“Maria’s level of service from the first day we signed our contract until the last of our guests left the building was nothing short of superb. Our wedding guests are still commentinIMG_1853g about how they loved the setting, the FANTASTIC wines and the entire experience. I would highly recommend Doukénie Winery to any bride and groom looking for a fun, romantic and beautiful location for their wedding.” From Yelp.

Here are a few more comments from our most recent brides and grooms who posted reviews on Wedding Wire. It’s a great way to get to know me and our team. Of course, we’d prefer you make an appointment and visit, but until then, we hope you enjoy these tips and ideas.
